Body In Balance Jin Shin Jyutsu®

What is Jin Shin Jyutsu?

Hello!  I’m Leslie Demich, owner of Body in Balance Jin Shin Jyutsu in Lacey, WA.  Jin Shin Jyutsu is a quiet, deeply relaxing way of resetting and balancing your body’s energy system. Refined over thousands of years, this eastern art employs gentle touch to stimulate the movement of energy in the body and release energy blockages that interfere with proper healing. In the process, it generates a profound sense of internal well being, renewed energy and vigor.    Learn More >

How is it Different?

Any approach to healing (whether western or eastern) is likely to have a certain level of effectiveness as long as it keeps your well-being paramount. Each approach has its place in the healing process. The philosophy and practice of Jin Shin Jyutsu sets it apart from other modalities in a number of ways. Learn More

What is a Session Like?

Clients find my office (located near Olympia, WA) to be warm and welcoming.  When you receive a Jin Shin Jyutsu session, you lie face up, fully clothed on a massage table while I apply specific patterns of gentle touch. There is no tissue manipulation whatsoever (no massage, no skeletal adjustment).  Most clients experience a deep sense of relaxation and may even fall asleep during the session. Each session lasts about an hour. Learn More

Body In Balance is an LGBTQ safe zone

My practice is a confidential place where all people can bring their authentic selves and feel safe, welcome and included. I happily work with and am supportive of LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer/Questioning +) individuals and identities.

After breaking my arm in a biking accident, not only did the broken bone ache, but all the muscles that attached to it cramped and spasmed painfully. In one session with Leslie, the bone ache lessened and the severe cramping relaxed. It felt as if my arm had heaved a huge sigh of relief and was now ready to really start healing.
